| This process needs to be running upon startup b/c AVG9 is an antivirus program. The resident shield (always-on protection) part of this program starts running as soon as the user logs on to Windows. It also provides an easy way to access your antivirus program and to see messages such as not being able to download definition updates. KEEP IT ENABLED (unless, of course, you use a different antivirus program, in which you shouldn't even have this process on your computer as two antivirus programs running at the same time cause major problems). | |||
