| I love Fences! It's a utility that allows me to group the things on my desktop into different spaces and then I can make ALL of it disappear with a double tap on my desktop or choose what I want to keep visible. It keeps everything from looking disorganized or just thrown up in some nonsensical way. They have a one month free trial and then it's about $10.00 to buy. I was hooked after two days. It's just nice to turn on the laptop/desktop and NOT see a gazillion files, folders and other cyber stresses. More information | |||

| 'Slows startup, but very useful tool to organise desktop items, optionally in multiple slidable desktops spaces. Using Fences keeps your icons where you place them, unlike windoze, that likes to decide where icons can go... but then, as soon as you install another program with a desktop startup link, your icon layout is then scrambled! Allowing windoze to organise your desktop items is not stable or predictable -- unlike Fences. More information | |||
