| QGet is from QNAP (well known for their NAS devcies.) QGet is the front end for QNAP's "Download Station QTS." For some reason, the latest version of QNAP's Download Station strictly adheres to torrent's SUGGESTED "sharing" concepts, thus users are NOW UNABLE to "turn off" sharing (uploading) for any downloaded torrents. If you are like me, and would get in trouble for distributing (uploading) any torrents then I would strongly suggest that you "stop" QNAP's "Download Station" QTS and instead install the QTS for "Transmission!" The front end for Transmission for the PC, Android, Apple, and etc. is by the same name. Lastly, it's not necessary to start the QGet service during windows startup, unless for some reason, you need up to the second updates from your Download Station. QGet's service can be easily disabled via msconfig. Do keep in mind though, if you are reinstalling QGET onto a machine that already had the QGet service disabled, the QGet installer will add a second QGet service entry onto your service bootup list. | |||
