| essential for pcmcia slot status and control in win9x versions, without it one cannot safely stop a pcmcia card prior to removal with laptop powered up. | |||

| "SystemTray" is an Essential part of the M$ windoofs OS . IF you disable "SystemTray" most of the TaskBar is also unfortunately Disabled! DO NOT REMOVE !!! | |||

| This file is a hold over from Windows 98 / ME. If you did an upgrade to XP from either of these OSes you will have the systray.exe file. Clean installs of XP do not have it. If your machine has a FAT32 file system and systray.exe, chances are that it was an upgrade from 98/ME. | |||
