Monitors Toshiba SSDs (solid state drives), which are unlike conventional magnetic HDDs since they have no moving parts and rely instead on flash-based memory. This results in more rugged, smaller and longer lasting disks suitable for tiny netbooks.

This utility is not just for SSD's. It is primarily for HDD's. If you drop your laptop, the utility will try to park the HD heads before impact to prevent drive damage.
