What if it is located in C:\\Program Files\\Internet Explorer? And why does it show as 0 bytes in the properties dialog details tab?

if you go to show details and look closely at the file name you will see that look a likes are spelled incorrectly. The one that I blocked was named iexplore.exe I highly doubt that Microsoft misspelled a name of their file

Although they are correct, I have seen cases where IEXPLORE.EXE has been on and the browser not actually on. This is usually after a virus has been on your computer leaving nasty spyware undetectable by many scanners.

I have blocked / renamed / deleted this yet it keeps coming back! I don't ever use internet explorer yet it seems to open for a second every few seconds as a system process. No matter what I try it keeps coming back. The version on my pc is definitely third party malware. (and not the usual windows malware)
