| Displays an icon in the status area of the task bar and indicates activity on a hard drive. It is a handy indicator when the computer's hard drive busy light is not easily viewable. It has never been flagged by McAfee AV, nor Superantispyware. I have been using it for a couple of years when I need to see HD activity, but I usually start it up manually when I need it. Although the default is to show HD activity, it is reentrant code (i.e., will launch additional invocations). It is configurable to dynamically display other useful metrics, although the documentation isn't very good. All-in-all, I'd say it appears safe, but more to the point, I find it very useful. | |||
