| On older or slower systems you may want to disable this. what it is is a immediate scan of your pc's boot log and boot sectors for malware and viruses, If you have a pc slower than a P4 2.5 ghz or equivalent and with less than 1.5 GB of ram. I recommend disabling this because it will significantly slow your Pc's start up speeds and might affect it's shut down speeds also. significantly. If your computer is secure and kept clean this is not really a needed scan. you can reset this to scan on boot if you suspect something odd going on. which is what i have done. | |||
