| It is Java's update scheduler and should be safe if downloaded or installed from trusted source and can be disabled if you prefer manual updating when in use. But, why all the different ratings? I downloaded straight from the java site. Hmmm' More information | |||

| well from all this crap i am supposing that it is unnecesarry considering every app can be manually updated and on the - side clearly auto update can cause compatability issues so it's a no no for me ^^ | |||

| This SunJava is required if you take college classes online , but i don't think that it has to be in the startup folder. | |||

| You can trust it, but if you use something like Secunia to tell you when updates are available, don't run it. | |||
